Shippipe Bremen was founded in 1997 as a new business concept. CIG wanted to increase the scope of supply for shipbuilding projects and building kits by adding pipe systems to the steel kid. Experienced pipe fitters, welders and logistic personnel with shipbuilding background were hired and over the years the company developed to a valuable partner in the supply chain of the shipbuilding industry of Germany and the Netherlands. Requirements of reputable shipyards like Meyerwerft and Flensburger Schiffbau Gesellschaft and Ferus Smit could be met as Shippipe focused on flexibility, logistic concepts and tailored solutions to the customer needs. Total quality was the key to success.

Today Shippipe employs about 60 people in production and administration.

Processes are approved and a quality system according to ISO 9001:2010 is implemented.

State of the art production techniques and modern machinery enables competitive prices. Shippipe uses
- Mandrel bending and free form bending with CNC machines
- Plasma and autogen cutting of pipes (HGG)
- Manual and automated welding like Orbital (Orbitec)
- Collaring of branches (T-Drill)
- Flanging of pipe ends (T-Drill)

Shippipe teams up with a number of partners for material supply, surface treatments, NDT and transportation in order to deliver a complete product just in time, ready for installation and built on specification.
